Custom Multi-Color Epoxy Military Plaque

This is the first multi-color epoxy plaque I have done. I started by flattening the Beech Wood on my Jointer and planner before fastening it to the wasteboard of my Sienci Labs LongMill. I created an SVG file with the Apache Platoon logo and added the text along with a outline for the CNC to cut the shape. I sorted the SVGs in order by color with black epoxy being the first to cut. After waiting 24 hours for the epoxy I then cut the next color and added hot glue to prevent the epoxy from spreading outside the pour. After each color dried I would use the CNC to remove most of the overflow epoxy and hot glue before sanding and applying the next color. After all the colors were poured I then cut out the final shape and poured a top coat of clear epoxy to seal the wood. Overall this took 7 days to make and came out great!
